The "Seeking Roommate" (WA01) is a painting that Lena did for her own amusement. She adopted a tiny Chihuahua two years ago. When she first got her, the tiny dog looked pitiful and full of anxiety. Lena saw through her dog's eyes a universal urge for relationship and stability. She felt that in this society today, people tends to have feelings of uncertainty - not knowing what to do, what to look for. A stable relationship is really the best thing that one can wish for.

Lena was inspired to use materials from the classified ads and incorporate them in the city buildings. She painted her little dog standing alone on the street looking anxious amidst these large buildings. This is a very emotional piece that everyone can read into and create his or her own version of the story. Lena did this painting two years ago and just left it at her studio until a group of friends asked to see the painting of her now smug-looking three-year-old Chihuahua. She showed this painting to her friends for fun, but everyone was so touched that they encouraged her to share this piece of art with more people. That is why we decided to publish this unusual piece.
